Happy Father’s Day to all the great Dads out there who are Dad-ing with all their hearts!
We appreciate Dads who are present in their children’s lives through out. We salute those who bare their knuckles for their family everyday and even more when their families are in trouble. We know the battle against families is real and active; we see it on the news, read it in books and hear it all around. Statistics, our own experiences, and just plain sight tell us that this battle is disproportionately hitting families with absentee fathers.
We also know that families are hard work. It seems easier to just drop everything and leave your responsibilities. The fact that there are fathers who simply stay, that alone is reason enough for us to thank them.
Thank God for fathers who are making wise choices about the future of their families; fathers who are daily turning away from immorality so that they can be good role models to their children; who show love with their daily actions and not just on those special anniversaries; who are loving our mums unconditionally and showing us how to treat women, and how to allow men to treat us as women. Thank God for fathers making our lives better. Fathers change the world.
So, here, a small token of our gratitude to our dads is some food! Gather over some good meal and enjoy each other’s company! We cannot take our fathers out of the country on some holiday with our mums this year because of the pandemic, but we can cook up a storm for them!
Here are some simple brunch ideas you can try at home on this Fathers’ Day:
