The year is 1884. The Agrarian and industrial revolution have led to various innovations. These include generation of electricity, mechanization of agriculture, and the beginning of steel processing and manufacture. The labor here is mainly manual; the jobs are high risk causing many deaths due to the absence of safety features in such processes. As year’s progress and it is the 1920’s, more and more immigrants are relocating to the United States of America; more industries emerge in textiles, construction, oil, pipelines, etc.
During the great depression, economic growth stagnates and due to the efforts of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, he fostered an economic turnaround. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt called this the New deal, this included incentives for an economic turnaround he instituted new project works as well as a new financial framework and regulation. This was to fulfill the need for relief, reform, and recovery from the great depression.
While still, President the Second World War started in 1939, the American war machine was activated by the decision to back the allied forces against the Germans. The United States of America depended on their own domestic companies to make their planes, vehicles, and bombs. Bleech Aircraft Corporation, Aeronca Aircraft, and North American Aircraft were some of the suppliers of the numerous Aircraft used during WW2. American Car and Foundry Company, General Motors, and Massey-Harris were some of the manufacturers of the tanks, Jeeps, and amphibian vehicles.
It is a well-known fact that the United States of America Military uses innovative technologies for about a decade before it can be released to the general public. During the Vietnam war, it is rumored that the USA Military had superior satellite images and used advanced communication devices.
In 1983 a USA Military engineer discovered the internet which at the time was defined as a network of networks. It was rolled out to the public around 1990, and due to early entrepreneurs capitalizing on the new frontier, there emerged a cadre of internet billionaires.
As soon as 1999, a new concept of wanting vending machines to track sales and reorders were pitched. This technology was later named the Internet of Things (IoT) which was declared the next new frontier. The first device to have IoT was a toaster, later it was tested on vending machines.
Today there are smart devices all over which are of great benefit to consumers or users of those products. For instance, a smart fridge can track your groceries and tell you what you need to buy. Today devices can place in orders for things you need from e-commerce websites to be delivered.
There are slight drawbacks to this if these abilities can be hacked if a television camera can be hacked to record or a Fridge. The IoT is being used to introduce Artificial Intelligence in small steps.
