At the age of 10, he joined Los Cebollitas, a junior football league in Argentina where he grew his talent and amazed many with his skill. The highlight of this period was when he led Los Cebollitas to a phenomenal 136-game unbeaten streak.
Maradona then moved own to lead club teams to championships in Argentina, Italy and Spain. His unmatched skill and brilliance in the midfield were unforgettable moments immortalized in his fans memories.

The major highlight of his career was in 1986 when Argentina won the world cup. An overview of Maradona’s career shows played internationally in 4 world cups and scored an unforgettable 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina.
Like all of us he was still human and pretty controversial whereby he got into some trouble with cocaine addiction and a high profile suspension which was the genesis of his fall from the limelight in 1991.He also got another suspension 3years later for abusing ephedrine during the world cup. He finally retired in 1997.
He later served as a coach for the Argentina team and was loved by many due to his rise from very humble beginnings.
